How to Make Your Website Sell!
And overwhelm you with nothing but pure profits!

If your business is online for profit, then you know how important it is to convert your visitors into paying customers. Potentially, every customer who visits your website can be a paying customer. It does not matter how well you promote your website if it does not sell. If you are like me, you'll know that the most satisfying experience is to have your mailbox filled with orders, 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week, in most cases with no or little input from you. On a good day, we can make more than what the average American makes in a month, on the averagemaking what they would in 2 weeks. The good thing is that all this happens without any human intervention: the customer places an order on one of our websites, the order is approved, and the product is delivered digitally to a satisfied customer any time of the day or night. The money, minus a little processing fee, is deposited electronically in our bank account. EVERYONE can be successful online, if they follow some simple business etiquette. For now, lets focus on ten extremely important rules that can make or break your online business. How to make your website sell!

1: Attract TARGETED Traffic
It's a proven fact that targeted traffic will result in a greater visitors-to-sales ratio (sales conversion rate). A high number of untargeted hits are not necessarily better than fewer, targeted hits. Spending $50 on targeted traffic can be more profitable then spending over $500 on untargeted traffic. Why? Simply because the visitors derived from the targeted traffic want hat you have to offer. Thus, they will be much more responsive to what you offer on your web site.

2: Grab Your Visitor's Attention INSTANTLY
How? By using a BLUNTLY-WORDED (brutal), concise, benefit-filled headline. Then make your opening sentence continue what you were talking about in the headline, intensifying the effect of your headline. By the time the first paragraph is over, you should tell you FULL story in miniature. Write your headline and first paragraph from your prospect's point of view, not your own. The rest of your sales page should provide the details of your offer. Do not start with something like "Welcome to my website". An example of an effective headline could be:

"Blast Your Website With an Avalanche of High-Quality *Targeted* prospects within 10 Days or Less... GUARANTEED!"

A popular style that usually works wonders is the short 'How To' headline,
e.g.: "How To Increase Your Web Site Profits by 700% in 2 Weeks or Your Money Back!" As much as possible, use the words "You," "New" and/or "How to" in your headline. These are proven words that rivet attention. Hook them up to a benefit your prospect wants, and your response will skyrocket!

3: Implement The DIRECT RESPONSE Principle
The direct response principle is simply the means of selling products online via a sales letter. This must be strategically placed or easily accessible if it is not the front page. Don't be fooled into thinking your site must be content-rich in order to sell its products. You can have tons of free articles, contests, and surveys, but if there's no sales letter - you're killing the potential of your online business.

4: Prove You Care With Customer TESTIMONIALS
If you don't have any testimonials or positive comments from your customers, just ASK! Send an email to your customers and say you'd like some feedback, it need not be anything complicated. A good way would be to use a survey script, or just a simple email message to your customers. When I started marketing on the internet, I used to get a lot of positive comments, but never used to save them or put them on my website. Big mistake. Once you get those comments, collect and compile your most attractive comments and get permission to display them throughout your sales copy n your site, if possible including email addresses and web address. The testimonials will reinforce your credibility, which equals more sales - meaning more profits for you.

5: Utilize A Solid And Effective GUARANTEE
Making a simple change to your existing guarantee can result in an instant boost in sales... if done properly! When writing your guarantee, always remember that your aim is to eliminate all of your customers' dangers and worries. Even though you may get a few unscrupulous people who'll simply download your product and ask for a refund, your sales will definitely increase.

6: Use Detailed, Convincing Case Studies.
No matter what you're selling, people always have the following question in the back of their minds: "How will this work for someone like me?" A detailed, in-depth case study of someone using your product or service will answer that question, and when you include a case study like that, far more people will buy from you.

7: Edit Your Sales Page Ruthlessly
Every time you read your sales page, you'll always find something you can improve. If a word doesn't keep the reader reading by making what you're writing more interesting, or making what you're selling more appealing, remove it. Be very economical with words, and convey your message CLEARLY. Every word has to communicate really hard, and your copy has to be easy to read. The fewer words you have doing the same job, the more people will buy from you.

8: Be a real person
Tell people who you are, provide them with contact information. Few people will trust you with their money if they don't know who you are. Whenever possible, you should provide an easy way to get in touch with you, whenever possible, a phone number and valid email address. If you don't offer phone support, you should provide an very responsive email address through which customers/potential customers can contact you.

9: Use the power of automation
Automate your business as much as possible from the very beginning. Use auto-responders to provide highly requested information about your product or service. Follow-up auto-responders are also a great way to stay current with people who have expressed an interest in your offer. Most importantly, you'll boost your online sales profusely by following up with your prospects. Get a Response Monster (http://responsemonsters.com) as your professional follow-up lightning-fast uto-responder/Mailing list manager. With this you'll also automate PROSPECT CAPTURE.

10: Give one or more free bonuses
Bonuses, bonuses, and more bonuses! People love them, and yes, they are useful to most people. Offer a free E-book or two (feel free to give this out for free!) on topics of interest. From free vacations to a simple calculator to a free newsletter subscription, free bonuses dramatically improve response and your sales revenue.
